BACH >> FORWARD

Early music is old fashioned? Certainly not if you arrange it in a new way, combine it well, present it in a surprising way. BACH >> FORWARD is our warm-up to the festival season 2025 and presents classical concerts in a new format from November 2024 to April 2025.

We are part of the #tuned network

#tuned is a network for contemporary classical music. Together with Beethovenfest Bonn, Detect Classic Festival, Mozartfest Würzburg, PODIUM Esslingen and the TONALi Hamburg initiative we will be testing new concert forms and working methods in the classical music business.

GLENN GOULD BACH FELLOWSHIP

As a collaboration of the City of Weimar, the Philip Loubser Foundation and the Thuringia Bach Festival, in 2020 we have launched the Glenn Gould Bach Fellowship.

20 years of Thuringa Bach Festival are a good reason for a present with which we would like to thank the Bachland Thuringia. In 2024 we will give away 20 concerts.

THE CASTLE OF HEAVEN

The castle chapel in Weimar is a dream destination for Bach fans. The so-called castle of heaven, which was destroyed by fire in 1774, will now be resurrected, at least virtually: We have developed a virtual reality version of the castle of heaven.
