The Pop-up-concert hall from New York in Erfurt

It's a really typical pop-up store which even made it into a New York Times editorial. The pianist, Evan Shinners, graduate of the famous Julliard School, rented an empty shop in order to play Bach for a whole month – for five hours a day with free entry for an audience of passers-by and those who were interested. Since then the Bach store has been repeated on the famous Wall Street and artist friends performed alongside Shinners.

In 2022 the Bach store has arrived in Thuringia! For two weeks Shinners will appear, in the Erfurt city centre the doors will open for his performances and evening concerts and discussions with guests associated with Bach – and everyone is welcome, in their lunch breaks, after shopping or before a doctor’s appointment, to discover Bach for themselves. Variety is guaranteed!
