A cantata concert based on the delicate aspects of departure. Here Hana Blažíková’s soprano and François Lazarevitch’s transverse flute make a convincing double which lightens one’s heart.

Hana Blažíková's soprano and François Lazarevitch's elegant French transverse flute are an unbeatable duo in this concert. Together with the Musiciens de Saint-Julien, they dedicate the last weekend of the Bachwochen in Eisenach's Georgenkirche to delicate aspects of farewells. The farewell in a spirit of gratitude of the old Simeon in cantata BWV 82 is accompanied by Bach's Italian cantata BWV 209, a final farewell to a young Ansbach magister who is leaving Leipzig and aiming for higher things. Lazarevitch's transverse flute shines with lightness and noblesse in the orchestral suite in B minor, an overture with numerous French dances à la mode - which Bach sets in motion with sophisticated contrapuntal movement tricks.
