FESTIVAL 2025
A festival in transition, in a time that is constantly changing and in which culture still plays an important mediating role, perhaps more than ever. In 2025, the Thuringia Bach Festival takes a famous quote from Max Reger and turns it “upside down”: “The end and the beginning of all music” is the title of the upcoming edition, which is a new beginning in many respects.

Explore the Bachland
Thuringia is Bach’s land: Many generations of the Bach family lived and worked here – and literally wrote music history. Johann Sebastian Bach spent half of his life in Thuringia; numerous historic sites are preserved and worth a visit.
