It is a summit meeting in music history when the old Bach, visiting his son, played for Friedrich the Great in 1747 in Potsdam. In the process he got to know Carl Philipp Emanuel’s colleagues in the court band who had been preparing music of a new time for a long time – behind the King’s back. Revolution! The recorder player, Dorothee Oberlinger, Director of the Music Festival Potsdam Sanssouci, brings the King’s court band to life in this concert.
