In its 20th season, the Thuringia Bach Festival is dedicated to life, full of empathy and optimism. One of Bach's most beautiful cantatas is entitled "Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben" - with full hearts and a strong sense for action we want to celebrate Bach and his music as something most alive in this festival season - as a commitment to the present and the future in awareness of the rich legacy Bach has left us. Welcome to the Thuringia Bach Festival from March, 21st till April, 14th 2024 with over 50 concerts in the beautiful Bachland Thuringia.

Explore the Bachland
Thuringia is Bach’s land: Many generations of the Bach family lived and worked here – and literally wrote music history. Johann Sebastian Bach spent half of his life in Thuringia; numerous historic sites are preserved and worth a visit.
