Gabriel Prokofiev is a curious artist: As both a composer and producer, he is equally successful across various genres, adeptly navigating between electronics and full orchestra. For the Thuringia Bach Festival and the theatre of the city of Eisenach, Prokofiev now ventures into a homage to perhaps the greatest of all composers, offering a contemporary response to Bach's unparalleled sonic world. A stage work in a new sound language that seeks Bach as a starting point and mentor – while also addressing the major themes of our time.
