Weimar Baroque
Johann Sebastian Bach: Mass in B Minor BWV 232

For several years the young musicians with the organist, Hans Christian Martin, were concerned with intensive research and debate about the German 18th Century sound world and its connection with religion, philosophy and art before they founded Weimar Baroque – an ensemble of enthusiasts which attempts to re-define the sound world of Bach’s time. At the beginning of the Bach Festival they give their debut with Bach’s great Mass in B Minor clad in a new sound in one of the most beautiful cathedrals in Germany.
