The double bass player, Dieter Ilg, is one of the most successful German jazz musicians. He works with prominent colleagues such as Till Brönner and Nils Landgren and also confronts music from other periods and styles. Alongside operas such as Otello and Parsifal he has produced arrangements of folk songs and has also worked intensively with Bach to whom he shows reverence with his trio this evening in Eisenach.
