V41 | Remy van Kesteren

A festival premiere for an instrument – this too is possible at the Bach Festival. Firstly the harp is the centre of a solo recital and to hear Remy van Kesteren play indicates that he is a truly exceptional artist. Coming from Holland, the much-feted musician is an advocate for his instrument, appears alongside classical concerts in cross-over events with Anastacia and creates wide appreciation for the harp in the process. Bach transcriptions formed a part of his programmes early on; in this programme he combines them with his own compositions which clearly demonstrate the impressive potential of the harp.
