The Thüringer Bach Collegium plays on valuable historical string instruments, e.g. violins by Giovanni Grancino or copies of historical wind instruments. The string instruments are all around 300 years old. They were played and heard during the lifetime of Johann Sebastian Bach.
Their concerts form part of the Thuringia Bach Festival and enrich the Festival.
