The French lutenist, Thomas Dunford, represents an exciting new generation of artists who are passionate about early music: educated at famous conservatoires, they early on established international networks from which attractive collaborations and ensembles have emerged. Dunford appears today as a soloist in venues such as Carnegie Hall or the Wigmore Hall and returns to the Bach Festival as artist in residence to present his new Ensemble Jupiter in three high quality varied programmes. Amongst his colleagues there are prominent names such as mezzo soprano Lea Desandre and Violaine Cochard, one of the most sought-after harpsichordists of her generation.
