V22 | Lucile Boulanger
ABel-BAch

Carl Friedrich Abel, one of the last German virtuoso gamba players, was Bach’s student and godson. His father worked with Bach in Koethen and the families remained close after this. The French gamba player, Lucile Boulanger, a former student of Christophe Coin and today partnered by Philippe Pierlot and Christophe Rousset for example, traces this close family friendship in her solo programme.
