Since last April the cellist, Tanja Tetzlaff, has been the first recipient of the Glenn Gould Bach Fellowship awarded by the city of Weimar. For more than two years she has had the opportunity to develop a demanding media project around the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. At the centre of Tanja Tetzlaff’s work is climate change: in her film “Suites for a Wounded World”, to be completed in 2023, she will play Bach solo cello suites in locations which have been particularly affected by climate change. Beauty meets destruction.
At the mid-point of her fellowship Tanja Tetzlaff will report on her work in Weimar in a discussion which provides the first insights into the film with music.
