In 2020 the City of Weimar, the Thuringia Bach Festival and the Philip Loubser Foundation opened a new chapter in the rich cultural history of the City: in future the Glenn Gould Bach Fellowship will be awarded every other year. It will offer selected aspiring musicians the opportunity to bring to life musical media projects related to Bach’s music.
The first recipient is the Irish pianist, Peter Tuite, who has created a film version of the famous Goldberg Variations and an audio exploration of selected Bach fugues. The works will be shown within the framework of an exhibition in the ACC Gallery.
