In the run-up to the Thuringian Bach Weeks, we are reporting regrettable, though perhaps not entirely surprising, news. Due to ongoing restrictions on travel between the USA and Europe, cellist Steuart Pincombe will unfortunately not be able to come to our festival in September. We regret this as much as the artist himself.
While we are working with Steuart Pincombe to find an alternate date as soon as the pandemic makes international travel possible again, we are even more pleased to announce that we have been able to find a prominent replacement for the matinee on Saturday, September 18, in Weimar:
Cellist Tanja Tetzlaff, renowned soloist and Glenn Gould Bach Fellow 2021-23, has agreed to take over the concert and play a solo program for you. More information about the concert with Tanja Tetzlaff can be found >>> here.
