The organist, Martin Sturm, who was born in Velburg in Bavaria in 1992, has won numerous international competitions in recent years while carrying out busy concert engagements both here and abroad. Sturm has been Professor of Organ and Improvisation at the Franz Liszt Music School in Weimar since 2019. Sturm devotes his recital on the famous Trost organ in the City Church in Waltershausen to the Brandenburg Concertos, whose first performance has its 300th anniversary in 2021.
