Gli Angeli Genève
Bach: cantatas BWV 8, 66, 78, and 99

The Swiss ensemble, Gli Angeli Genève have ensured themselves a faithful fan club at the Thuringia Bach Festival with their fresh and moving interpretations of the Easter Oratorio and the St Matthew Passion and have also appeared regularly at the Montreal Bach Festival and the Utrecht Early Music Festival. Conducted by their founder, the baritone Stephan MacLeod, the artists impress with their great emotion and consummate technical achievement – their performances are definitely not to be missed. They now appear for the fourth time at the Thuringia Bach Festival. Their selection of cantatas to be performed in Bach’s baptismal church promises great enjoyment.
