Two leading Dutch ensembles, the chamber choir, Cappella Amsterdam, and the Orchestra of the 18th Century appear in Eisenach on Good Friday. Founded in 1981 by the legendary Bach conductor, Frans Brüggen,the Orchestra has set standards for historical performance practice with over 50 recordings and nume ous concerts. It is closely linked to the singers of Cappella Amsterdam, a group which has been associated since 1990 with Daniel Reuss, one of the leading choral conductors of our time.
