Rudolf Lutz
Bach’s toolbox: a musical guided tour

Bach as a composer and virtuoso relied heavily on his superb mastery of musical craft. In the atmospheric ambience of the new Bauhaus Museum, this concert presents the master’s important tools and techniques from fugue to ground bass. In improvised dialogue with the audience, the programme illustrates the potential of different effects and possibilities for composing in the Baroque style. To provide insight into the tool box selected objects and principles from the Bauhaus tradition will be highlighted.

Rudolf Lutz — piano
