From Wall Street to Erfurt

The American pianist, Evan Shinners, was a guest in 2022 at the Erfurt Anger boulevard with his Bach Store, continuing the project he began in his homeland. In New York he rented an empty shop in 2018 in which to play Bach for a month – several hours daily, with free admission, for an audience of strangers and curious people.

After the great success of the premiere, the Bach Store will see a continuation in 2024. This time, a festival center will be set up at Anger, where there will be coffee and tickets available, but above all, plenty of Bach with Evan Shinners. In the evenings, the Bach Store will then transform into a concert hall and invite visitors to multiple festival events.
