The Christmas Oratorio as house music

There are many ways to celebrate Christmas. The prestigious Ensemble Resonanz from Hamburg presents Bach's Christmas Oratorio staged as chamber music among friends. Without a large choir and in a small ensemble, thirty arias, recitatives, choruses, and chorales from Bach's masterpiece have been adapted in a unique version. The score remains untouched, with an electric guitar and Hammond organ in the continuo, only one trumpet, and the entire ensemble joining in for the chorales.
