The National Youth Ballet is a mixture of international dance talent. It was founded in 2011 by the legendary choreographer, John Neumeier, and consist of eight international dance talents aged between 18 and 23 years old. The aim of the company is to bring ballet to unusual locations and to enthuse young people for the art form of dance. In “John’s-BJB-Bach” the National Youth Ballet present the results of an intensive confrontation with creations by their intendant to music by Johann Sebastian Bach – excerpts from the St Matthew Passion and the Magnificat, interpreted live by singers and an instrumental ensemble of young musicians.
