Erfurt - Dom St. Marien

The Erfurt cathedral organist, Silvius von Kessel, is not only a sought-after soloist on the king of instruments but also appears often as a composer. His latest work is devoted to Martin Luther’s favourite Psalm 118 and fascinates through its setting for boys’ choir and three solo instruments. For the premiere in the framework of the Bach Festival well-known instrumentalists work with the Toelz Boys’ Choir, undoubtedly one of the vocal ensembles of its type most rich in tradition.
