Almost six decades separate the two interpreters in this concert who both represent relevant chapters in the reception of Bach. There is hardly a country in which Bach is so prominent as in the Netherlands where countless Bach concerts, not just at passion tide, are part of their cultural heritage. In Erfurt Ton Koopman, who has written music history with his many years of engagement with historical performance practice, meets one of the youngest Dutch Bach stars, the 23-year old recorder player, Lucie Horsch.
