It is rare to hear the mystical beauty of the rosary sonatas, that cycle of 16 solo sonatas with which the virtuoso violinist, Heinrich Ignaz von Biber, conceived the mysteries of the rosary. The works are scarily difficult and composed with diverse tuning which is why the Swiss violinist, Leila Schayegh, comes with four violins.
