Reassurance is the order of the day in these demanding times – and the theme of the Thuringia Bach Festival to come. On Bach’s birthday we look forwards with a prologue concert which presents a reflection on the theme alongside music matching the theme: thoughts of the president of the German Ethics Council, Professor Alena Buyx. With the ensemble Weimar Baroque you can experience a baroque orchestra which is still youthful, in that musicians from around Germany have come together to engage with detailed content and stylistic work which meets their aspirations.
