Opening at the Bach birthday

No matter if opera, concert or song. The British tenor Mark Padmore has long earned the reputation of a very intelligent and sophisticated singer and is very successful in all areas. A special trademark is his sensitive sense of language, a characteristic with which he has made a name for himself in the song section and as a Bach interpreter. In 2016, Mark Padmore was named Musical of the Year by Musical America. In the season 2017/2018 he is Artist in Residence with the Berliner Philharmoniker and on the 333rd birthday of Johann Sebastian Bach Mark Padmore now makes his debut as a conductor: At the Thuringia Bach Festival he leads an ensemble of excellent singers and the famos Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment – and shows as a conductor as well as an evangelist his very own interpretation of this incomparable work.
