Bach Collegium Japan with Bachs Wedding Cantatas on April 7 and 8 in Thuringia

Bach Collegium Japan first time in Bachland Thuringia

The Bach Collegium Japan holds an exceptional position in the international world of music. The recording by its musicians with Masaaki Suzuki of the complete cantatas of Bach made history and generated an impressive number of reference recordings. In the process they have made a significant contribution to spreading knowledge of Bach’s music internationally. For the first time the ensemble, conducted by Suzuki’s son, Masato, now comes to the Bach county of Thuringia to present its art in historic locations in two concerts which combine some of Bach’s most beautiful cantatas.
