CONCLUDING CONCERT — „Komm, süßer Tod“ – Music from the Reformation and counter-Reformation in Eisenach (1. May)

The ensemble L’Arpeggiata has a unique place in the world of classical music. Whether with Monteverdi, Handel or Latin American music – the intelligent arrangements by the leader, Christina Pluhar, delight a broad audience which is carried away by the joy in performance and liveliness of baroque music. For the first time L’Arpeggiata now concentrate on Martin Luther and Johann Sebastian Bach at the invitation of the Thuringia Bach Festival: a premiere as the finale of the Festival with with the Belgian soprano soloist Céline Scheen.

Unfortunately Nuria Rial had to cancel her appearance in this concert due to medical reasons. However, we are very happy to announce the renowned Belgian soprano Céline Scheen as the soloist of this special event.
